The SS Point Reyes - A Well-loved Derelict

Point Reyes National Seashore, California

A worn and weathered fishing boat rests against a sandbar in Inverness, California. The history of the SS Point Reyes is somewhat obscure - whether she served as a ferry to bring WWII shipmen ashore or spent her entire life as a fishboat before retiring into the loving care of a local seaman, she has long since claimed her resting place on the shore of Tomales Bay. Though deemed a derelict vessel, the good ship is still well-loved and continues to delight visitors from around the world.
