Winter Sunset at Cypress Tunnel

Point Reyes National Seashore, California

Planted nearly 100 years ago, the Cypress Tunnel is a defining landmark of Point Reyes. At the end of the road is a lovely white Art Deco building housing maritime radio station KPH. With the late-day winter sun streaming through the rows of gnarled cypress trees, it’s easy to imagine this scene as an historic manor house protected by rows of stately sentinels.
